Bruks Siwertell has secured an order for a Bruks mobile chipper from J.D. Irving, Limited's Irving Woodlands division, one of the largest forestry land holders in Canada. It will process forest residues into mini chips for pellet production at J.D. Irving, Limited's Grand River Pellet plant in Saint Leonard, New Brunswick, Canada. It can also process forestry waste into biofuel chips for the plant's boilers.

Valmet will supply IQ quality control system to Ahlström-Munksjö Ställdalen AB in Sweden. The new system will replace the oldValmet has been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI) for the eighth consecutive year. The company was listed both in the Dow Jones Sustainability World and Europe indices. The total number of companies included this year in the DJSI World for 2021-2022 is 322.

Platinum Equity announced it has completed the acquisition of Solenis, a leading global producer of specialty chemicals used in water-intensive industries.

Start-up is scheduled for the second half of 2024.

The target is to modernize and increase the production capacity of the Guaíba pulp mill's line 2 from 1.5 million ADt/y (air dry tonnes per year) to 1.85 million ADt/y. The upgraded mill is expected to start operation in the fourth quarter of 2023.

JK Paper Limited, one of the largest pulp and paper producers in India, selected AFT to supply a POM® approach flow and stock preparation system for their latest packaging board expansion project. PM5 is a 170,000 tpa multi-layer board machine at CPM, Fort Songadh in Gujarat, India. The new machine successfully ran its first paper reel in early September to begin commercial production this quarter.

Schumacher Packaging has commissioned Voith to rebuild PM 2 at its Myszków site in Poland. The line is scheduled to start up again in mid-2023 after a short rebuild period.

Kadant Noss AB, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE:KAI), announced it successfully started up two approach flow cleaner systems for production of bleached hardwood kraft. The start-up on dissolving pulp is planned for the beginning of 2022. Andritz has received an order from SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget) to rebuild a disc filter at their pulp mill in Ortviken, Sundsvall, Sweden.

BID Group has received an order from Georgia-Pacific to deliver a new sawmill at its Pineland, Texas operation which will replace the existing stud mill.

The start-up is scheduled for 2023.

Valmet will supply a complete tissue production line including stock preparation, automation system and a Focus rewinder to Arkhbum Tissue Group LLC. The new Advantage DCT 200 tissue line will be installed at the company's mill in Vorsino industrial park, Kaluga region in Russia.

Kemira has opened its new APAC R&D center in Pujiang Town, Shanghai, China, to meet rapidly growing market demand and accelerate efforts to develop renewable, biodegradable and recycleable products in the Asian region.

The new systems will have a total production capacity of 2.5 million tons per year and are scheduled to start up in 2022 and 2023.

Andritz has received a repeat order from Starwood Orman Urunleri Sanayi A.S. to supply the third complete fiber preparation system for its MDF production lines in İnegöl, Turkey. Start-up is scheduled for the end of 2022.
