This month's LinkedIn poll results...

First impressions are very important.

We asked the following question: "In a business setting, once you meet someone for the first time, how long does it take for you to form a long-lasting opinion of them? 1,767 people to a look at this question and 57 responded. The answers: 39%--less than ten minutes. 18%--about an hour. 28%--2 or 3 interactive encounters. 16%--always fluid and changeable.

A spilt on work/life balance.

1,789 took a look at this statement, "Work/Life Balance is" and 53% answered fiction while 47% said non-fiction. There were 51 responses.

People want in person training.

1,818 scanned this question, "What is your favorite form to receive training?" A whopping 93% said, "Hands on interactive." Video pulled in 5% of the votes, and text pulled in 2% of the votes. Verbal drew no responses (isn't that the way we were taught in school?). Total of 41 answers.

If you have a topic you would like for us to poll, please email Steve.Roush@ipulpmedia.com
