The Final Word by Helen Roush

In a recent story from CBC Canada, it was announced that the Amherstburg distillery is releasing new liquor in paper bottles.

The article states that "Wolfhead Distillery in Amherstburg, Ont., says the new Vanilla Almond Biscotti Cream Liquor comes in a 100 per cent paper bottle.

The distillery partnered with Kinsbrae Packaging Inc. in Cambridge, Ont., for the new type of bottle."

ThisWeekinFM.com recently reported that Biovate Hygienics introduced paper bottles for cleaning products.

The article states that "Biovate Hygienics' "Zero Compromise" cleaning products feature bottles made of vegetable waste fibre paper pulp. The paper can be easily pulped in most recycling centres and the natural coating comes away and is used within the organic waste stream for composting back to nature.

Our plastic-free bottle is made in the UK using sustainably sourced vegetable waste fibre paper pulp. This makes the bottle not only plastic free but it's also created using materials that would otherwise be discarded. This sustainable sourcing also means that no trees were cut down in the production of our new bottles, helping to reduce waste and decrease our carbon footprint."

As more and more companies move to sustainable packaging solutions, we will undoubtedly see an increase in paper bottles.

According to a recent article from Newswires, it states that the "paper bottles market is expected to reach US $102.4 million by 2030."

The article goes on to state that "although the paper bottle market is still relatively small compared to the traditional plastic bottle market, it is expected to grow significantly in the coming years as more companies adopt sustainable packaging solutions and consumers become increasingly conscious of the environmental impact of their purchases."

We will keep you apprised of further developments on this topic.
