Unfortunately, we have approximately 2-3 months left in the current cold and flu season.

The CDC stated recently, that flu activity is high in the U.S. and is expected to continue for weeks.

The CDC recently released data which estimates that there have been approximately 6.4 flu illnesses nationwide this season and 55,000 hospitalizations.

According to CNN, the United States is on track for one of the worst flu seasons in decades.

The CDC stresses that it is not too late to get a flu vaccine.

Employers should take preventative measures against the flu by stressing that sick employee's stay home, making hand sanitizers readily available for employees, as well as mandate that all employees receive a flu vaccine.

Employers have an obligation to forge a safe work environment, and mandating that employees receive a flu vaccine is one method of doing such.
