Several clients and colleagues have recently remarked that, with the world coming out of Covid-19 (or a least hoping we are coming out of Covid-19), there is a new urgency and frenetic pace about work and play for that matter.
This is a recipe for accidents. We are not going to make up for last year, forget it--2020 is gone. We need to take a deep breath and go about our business in a measured and rational way.
I have had some major automobile accidents in my life. I can tell you the ones I caused were largely because I was in a hurry and going too fast. One was even when I was going relatively slow but was in a hurry (sunrise in my eyes and I was not maintaining enough distance in stop and go expressway traffic).
What to do? Slow down yourself and admonish your family and coworkers to slow down, too. Do this often, often enough they become tired of it. We'll be monitoring the industry accidents here on PaperMoney, and I won't be shy about providing additional admonishments if we see the numbers ticking up.
