Rayonier Advanced Materials' Fernandina plant marks 10 million ton milestone
Print

FLORIDA (News release) -- Rayonier Advanced Materials announced that its Fernandina plant has produced 10 million tons of high purity cellulose.

The milestone was marked by the plant's longest-serving employees - some of whom have worked at the facility since the 1970. 95% of the plant's total fuel comes from renewable resources, 98% of its electricity is self-generated and its total economic contribution to the region is $185 million per year.

The Fernandina plant was constructed in 1937 near downtown Fernandina Beach, Florida. The plant produces 155,000 metric tons of softwood cellulose specialties per year.
