Paper Excellence gives IT malware update

CANADA (News release) -- As you are aware, we have been using manual processes for some of our activities following an incident on February 19, 2020 which affected our ability to utilize certain IT systems.

We're very pleased to inform you that our SAP system went live late last week. We've begun the process of transitioning back into SAP and systematically inputting the historic data created from our manual procedures.

Due to this transition, we want to bring to your attention the unavoidable circumstances that will occur over the next couple of weeks. As we shift back into SAP, you may receive documentation on future shipments made up of both manual and SAP electronic outputs. In addition, as we input our historic data into SAP you could receive duplication of information as a result of the automatic notifications in the SAP system.

Some examples of duplication could be:
• A purchase order confirmation for a P.O. where you've previously received a manual document
• A duplicate invoice generated when we input historic order data into SAP, in addition to the one produced and sent during our manual time
• Shipment delivery notifications scanned and emailed to you previously may be sent again automatically from the system
• EDI transmissions may be sent for orders previously shipped, that you've manually input into your own inventory systems

Where possible, we will note the original sales order number and your PO on any documents issued based on historical shipments.

We apologize for any inconvenience to you created by the duplication of information. Thank you for your support and your patience as we migrate back to our SAP system.
