MONROE, La. (From news reports) -- It is being reported that WestRock will be closing its facility in Monroe, leaving nearly 100 people without a job.

"We regret to hear that WestRock will be ceasing its local operations this summer, and 84 employees will be losing their jobs. Because they are skilled workers, these affected employees can take advantage of a variety of job opportunities in our city and region. Thankfully, there are also mechanisms in place to assist with training and new job opportunities."
