Stora Enso Sells Lübeck Sheeting Plant to OKAB
Print
Helsinki, Finland 03 July 2006 -- Stora Enso is selling its sheeting operations at Lübeck, Germany, to OKAB Convert AB (OKAB). The sale will have no material effect on the Stora Enso Group's financial figures.

Stora Enso Consumer Boards serves its customers in the graphical and packaging industries through a network of ServiceCentres at central locations in Europe that stock board grades from several mills and offer sheeting services. OKAB will take over Stora Enso's current personnel (24) and machinery at the Lübeck ServiceCentre and install two new sheeters at the site to further strengthen the services.

"Part of our strategy is to bring our products closer to customers via efficient ServiceCentres. Partnering with OKAB will ensure development of the Lübeck ServiceCentre's machinery and facilities, and so improve service to our customers," says Ohto Nuottamo, senior vice president, Stora Enso Carton Boards.

Stora Enso and OKAB have been collaborating in Sweden for many years. OKAB is active in product refinement, stock keeping, and distribution of paper and board products.
