Rengo's Ehime Toon plant starts operation in Japan

JAPAN (News release) -- Rengo Co., Ltd. announces that it has been moving forward with the construction of its Ehime Toon Plant (Toon-shi, Ehime Prefecture, Japan) as a relocation site for the Matsuyama Plant for some time, and started operation on January 8. The plant manufactures corrugated board and boxes.

As the new plant is located approximately 200 meters from the Toon Smart Interchange of the Matsuyama Expressway to be completed in 2024 and has favorable logistics, the Company expects it to further strengthen the Rengo Group's collaboration and supply system throughout Shikoku.

The new plant will also be equipped with solar power generation, LNG satellite facilities, and other facilities to reduce CO2 emissions, as stated in the Group's environmental targets, Eco Challenge 2030, and to improve productivity through the use of digital technology.
