Rengo opens Yodogawa logistics center in Japan
Print

JAPAN (News release) -- Rengo Co., Ltd. has opened Yodogawa Logistics Center in Fukushima-ku, Osaka-shi, Japan. Yodogawa Logistics Center is the Rengo Group's largest logistics center in the Kansai region, Japan, and is capable of storing approximately 20,000 tons of containerboard.

The logistics center has implemented a warehouse management system (WMS) and truck guidance system. Operations within the warehouse - such as product storage and picking - have been significantly automated, including the use of RFID and the adoption of unmanned clamp lifts, the first case of such use in Japan at a warehouse handling containerboard. These efforts not only improve the efficiency of operations within the warehouse, but also achieve shortening of truck waiting time and product loading time.
