Jim,

I had to laugh when I read the latest point/counterpoint. My daughter and son in law live within view of the Whirlpool plant and the adjacent airport in Evansville and my son in law is an engineer at the Toyota plant. I can confirm your comments about the economic conditions in Southern Indiana as being straight up accurate. Toyota is making its third strategic change in vehicle assembly at the plant in less than one year with the line conversions costing billions (not mere millions) of dollars. I believe that the executives at Toyota would have a hearty laugh over the false assertion that they control the market and the market does not control them.
