Loreo, Italy 10 August 2016 -- Cartiere del Polesine will take downtime of up to almost four weeks at its machines for rebuilding measures. The company wants to increase its containerboard capacities by 30,000 tpy.

Italian manufacturer of recycled corrugated case material Cartiere del Polesine plans various rebuilds on its four paper machines. To implement them, the company plans to take downtime measures in August which will last up to nearly four weeks.

A company spokesman informed that the rebuilds will, amongst others, increase the capacity at Cartiere del Polesine's two mills from currently 270,000 tpy to 300,000 tpy of recycled corrugated case material. The rebuilds will also serve to improve output quality.

The company will shut down PM 1 and PM 2 at the Loreo mill, located near Venice, for 25 days. They have a daily capacity of 120 and 160 t of fluting and corrugating medium respectively. At the company's Adria mill located nearby. PM 3, which is rated to produce up to 350 tpd of fluting, corrugating medium and testliner 4, will be stopped for 15-17 days, the spokesman said. PM 4, also at the Adria mill, has a capacity of 450 tpd of corrugating medium and testliner 2, 3 and 4 and will be stopped for an estimated two weeks.
