Pöyry Starts Operations in Falun, Sweden

Vantaa, Finland, 14 March 2008 -- Pöyry has hired eight engineers specializing in mechanical pulp, paper, environment, and chemicals from StoraEnso Research in Falun, Sweden. The recruitment of these specialists is related to the relocation of StoraEnso's research operations to Karlstad, Sweden. The engineers will join Pöyry's team focusing on process technology and operations improvement.

This recruitment will strengthen Pöyry's local presence in Sweden and further enhance the company's local image as a strong process technology expert within the forest industry and related industries. Pöyry Forest Industry AB in Sweden employs about 340 experts located at 16 offices, including the new office in Falun.

Pöyry is a global consulting and engineering firm focusing on the energy, forest industry, infrastructure, and environment sectors. Pöyry's net sales in 2007 amounted to about EUR 720 million and it employs 7300 experts.
