Dayton, Ohio, USA, 17 October 2006 -- /PRNewswire/ -- NewPage Corporation will release its financial results for the third quarter of 2006 on 13 November 2006, before the market opens. The news release for third quarter earnings will be available on the NewPage Web site at www.NewPageCorp.com.

The company will broadcast its third quarter analyst conference call on 13 November 2006, at 11 a.m. (ET) with access available via Internet and telephone. The teleconference is expected to last one hour. Mark A. Suwyn, chairman and chief executive officer, and Richard D. Willett, Jr., president and chief operating officer, will review operating performance. Matthew L. Jesch, vice president and chief financial officer, will review the third quarter results.
