Metso to Supply Papermaking Line to Propapier, Germany

Helsinki, Finland, 06 February 2008 -- Metso Paper will supply a papermaking line to the greenfield mill of Propapier GmbH & Co. KG in Germany. The new line, producing up to 650,000 metric tons of liner and fluting grades of 70-130 g/m2 annually, will be located in Eisenhüttenstadt, near the Polish border, and will come on stream in late 2009.

As the investment is still subject to approvals, a dissolution clause is included. The total value of the order is approximately EUR 200 million.

Propapier GmbH is part of Progroup, a group of companies offering products and services for the corrugated board-processing industry. Propapier currently produces 320,000 metric tons of testliner and corrugated medium annually with one of the most modern production lines in the world.
