Metso to Supply a Deinking Line to Subburaj Papers in India

Helsinki, Finland, 28 June 2007 -- Metso Paper will supply a complete deinking line to Subburaj Papers Private Ltd. in India. The new DIP line will have a daily capacity of 320 tons. The value of the investment is close to EUR 8 million. The greenfield printing and writing paper project is scheduled to start up in mid-2008.

The line will feature the latest deinking technology, including the energy efficient OptiSlush drum pulper and OptiBright flotation cells. The delivery is Metso Paper's first recycled fiber system to be installed in India. The pulp is used for manufacturing high-quality printing and writing paper based on 100% recovered fiber as raw material.

Subburaj Papers Private Ltd. is a part of the Subburaj Industries Ltd. group of companies, based in Tirunelveli, southern Tamil Nadu, India. In the textile industry Subburaj is a well-established 100% EOU (Export Oriented Units) company. The mill is located approximately 20 km from the town of Tirunelveli.
