Kadant to Supply Green Liquor System Upgrade for Södra Cell
Comment Print

Norrköping, Sweden (News release) - Kadant Noss AB, a subsidiary of Kadant Inc. (NYSE: KAI), announced it will supply a Green Liquor System upgrade to the Södra Cell Mörrum Mill in Sweden. The order includes a green liquor clarifier, dregs precoat filter, engineering, and site services.

Mörrum is a specialty mill with two dedicated lines, one producing a wide range of premium paper pulps and the other dedicated to dissolving pulp for textiles and other applications together with the unique OnceMore® process.

Kadant's Green Liquor Clarifier features the Uniform Flow Design (UFD) Feedwell and Uniform Liquor Removal (ULR) Bustle Pipe to produce ultra-clean green liquor using low energy consumption sedimentation technology. The dregs precoat filter recovers green liquor from the green liquor clarifier underflow stream to produce a dry, low-pH cake that is environmentally non-hazardous. The dregs filtering technology provides high washing efficiency with low energy consumption.
