Boise Cascade Acquires Assets of Total Structural Systems
Print

Boise, Idaho, USA, 28 May 2009 -- Boise Cascade’s Building Materials Distribution Division (BMD) has acquired the assets of Total Structural Systems (TSS), formerly Wood Structures, Inc., and hired the core group of TSS associates.

The intent of the acquisition is to create a production, marketing, and logistics organization that will serve New England customers with a complete package of building materials, including trusses and engineered wood products (EWP). This will be accomplished from Boise Cascade’s current facilities in Westfield, Massachusetts, and Portsmouth, New Hampshire, and from the truss assembly and EWP distribution operations of TSS. At a strategic level, this combination demonstrates Boise Cascade's commitment to structured, well conceived growth for BMD; to provide new products and services; and to take full advantage of growth opportunities when appropriate.
