BillerudKorsnäs invests in new recovery boiler at Frövi mill in Sweden
Print
SWEDEN (News release) -- BillerudKorsnäs will invest in a new recovery boiler at the Frövi mill in Sweden. The total investment is estimated to SEK 2.6 billion ($313 million) and the new recovery boiler is planned to be in operation at the end of 2023.

"The Frövi mill is a strategic asset for BillerudKorsnäs and the investment is a good platform for future development. A new recovery boiler will improve environmental performance, increase energy production and create possibilities for increased efficiency and integration of the mill," comments Christoph Michalski, President and CEO of BillerudKorsnäs.

The investment is planned to be financed by cash flow from operating activities. In 2021, the negative cash flow effect of the investment is estimated to SEK 700 million ($84.3 million).

BillerudKorsnäs is one of the leading manufacturers of packaging paper made from virgin fibers.
