Comment Print
Turkish industrial company Starwood Orman Urunleri Sanayi has commissioned Austrian industrial plant engineering group Andritz to supply a fibre production line for its medium-density fibreboard (MDF) plant located in Inegol, Andritz said.

The line, which includes a disc chipper, a chip washing system, and a pressurised refining system, is expected to be operational at the end of 2021, Andritz said in a statement.

The Austrian company will also deliver a chip washing system for an existing MDF production line.

The price of the deal was not disclosed.

The fiber production line is the second that Andritz is delivering to Starwood.

Starwood produces around 2,000 cubic metres of MDF and 3,000 cubic metres of chipboard daily. Apart from Turkey, the company is also present in Georgia, where it has a 15,000 square metre closed-area facility.
