Ainsworth Announces New Labour Agreement

Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada 17 July 2013 -- Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (TSX: ANS and ANS.WT) (“Ainsworth” or the “Company”) announced today that a new four year labour agreement with the Communications, Energy and Paperworkers Union of Canada (CEP Local 324-99) has been ratified by its union members.

The new labour agreement involves approximately 130 employees at the Barwick, Ontario mill and will expire on July 31, 2017. The previous contract was set to expire July 31, 2013.

“We are pleased to have reached an agreement and we appreciate the continued efforts and partnership of our employees and the CEP union at Barwick,” said President and CEO Jim Lake.
