Voith Paper to Supply Quality Control System to Productos Familia in Lasso, Ecuador

Heidenheim, Germany, 04 July 2008 -- Voith Paper has signed a contract with the business unit of Productos Familia in Lasso, Ecuador, for the supply of a quality control system (QCS). The order includes the replacement of the obsolete QCS with a more modern and efficient measurement technology of basis weight and moisture. In addition, the scope consists of the OnView software for quality management.

Voith Paper’s QCS, named OnQuality, presents a series of innovations and technology benefits, such as solid-state silicon technology detectors, which are very efficient and provide a superior signal-to-noise ratio and sensitivity. Its fast scan capabilities, coupled with fast signal processing provide high-resolution profiles for tight machine direction and cross direction control.
