Suzano Pulp and Paper Maranhão Unit

Salvador, Brazil, South America 07 July 2013 -- At the end of 2013, the state of Maranhão will have one of the most modern pulp plants in the world, with production capacity of 1.5 million tons of pulp per year for export. It will be a completely self-sufficient plant in terms of energy, and will have generated over 15 thousand jobs. This will be another new Suzano Pulp and Paper unit, to be established in the city of Imperatriz. The ground has been leveled, and the foundation pile driving has already begun. The forest formation is underway and the staff training courses have already prepared over a thousand professionals.
