Statesville Shatters Own World Record
Print

Conyers, Georgia, USA 27 February 2014 -- Pratt Industries’ high-performing box-making team at the Statesville plant in North Carolina continues its record shattering ways.

Last month, the crew produced an average of 12,848 boxes PER HOUR on the Ward 38” flexo finishing machine…claiming a new world record just 5 months after setting the previous mark.

All up, the employees produced more than 5.7 million boxes in January. Last August, the same team delivered 11,505 boxes per hour, for a monthly total of almost 4 million.

“I am extremely proud of everyone on the team,” said Converting Superintendent Jonathan Adams. “From the supervisors, to maintenance, to the corrugators, to the machine crews to shipping. One person cannot do what we’ve been able to do. It takes the entire team.

“Nothing is more exciting than being part of a team that does not and will not settle for anything less than its best.”

Incredibly, the new record may not last long – the same crew is on pace to better that mark this month. We’ll send an update once the final figures are in.
