Sino-Forest To Report First Quarter Earnings on May 11, 2006

Toronto, Ontario, Canada, 08 May 2006 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Sino-Forest Corporation (TSX: TRE and TRE.S) will announce its first quarter 2006 results on May 11, 2006 after the close of trading on the Toronto Stock Exchange. The following morning, Sino-Forest will host a conference call and webcast to discuss the results.

Sino-Forest is the largest, foreign-owned, commercial forestry plantation operator in China in terms of plantation area.
