Rottneros Mill Lines Up Job Opportunities
Print

Stockholm, Sweden 29 August 2013 -- Successful product and process development has resulted in winning products that have been well received by the market and resulted in increased demand. Customers are realising the added value of the new pulp products developed at Rottneros Mill. One particularly successful area has been the development of pulp used for paperboard types based on both recycled and fresh (virgin) fibres.

The Rottneros Group has therefore decided to carry on its continuous production of groundwood pulp at the mill. Plans from the spring of 2012 to close down the groundwood line will consequently not be implemented, which means that notices of termination will no longer be given to approximately 30 employees. This line will also continue to produce pulp for printing paper and special applications.

With the groundwood line and the CTMP line in full production, Rottneros Mill is one of the most comprehensive suppliers of high-yield pulp throughout the world, with customers in Europe, Asia and North America.

Rottneros discloses the information provided herein pursuant to the Securities Markets Act and/or the Financial Instruments Trading Act. The Information was submitted for publication on Thursday 29 August 2013 at 08.30 CET.

Rottneros is an independent producer of market pulp. The Group comprises the parent company Rottneros AB, listed on NASDAQ OMX Stockholm, and its subsidiaries Rottneros Bruk AB and Vallviks Bruk AB with operations involving the production and sale of market pulp. The Group also includes the wood procurement company Rottneros Baltic SIA in Latvia. The Group has around 300 employees and had a turnover of approximately SEK 1.5 billion in the 2012 financial year.
