Jacksonville, Florida, USA, 09 April 2010 -- (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Rayonier (NYSE:RYN) today announced that proxy materials for the company's 2010 annual meeting of shareholders have been filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Shareholders of record at the close of business on 22 March 2010, are entitled to notice of, and to vote at, Rayonier's Annual meeting of shareholders on 20 May 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Omni Jacksonville Hotel, 245 Water Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.

Rayonier is once again furnishing its proxy materials to shareholders via the Internet. As a result, instead of paper copies of its proxy statement and 2009 annual report to shareholders, which includes the annual report on form 10-K for the fiscal year ended 31 December 2009, the company is mailing its shareholders a notice regarding the Internet availability of the proxy materials. This notice contains instructions regarding how to access the materials and vote over the Internet. Shareholders who wish to obtain paper copies of Rayonier's proxy materials may do so by following the instructions provided in the notice.
