Longview, Washington, USA, 07 February 2007 – Longview Fibre Company (NYSE: LFB) plans to issue a press release announcing fourth quarter and full year 2006 financial results on 27 February 2007, after the close of regular NYSE trading hours.

The company also expects to file the same day its Annual Report on Form 10-K with the Securities and Exchange Commission. A copy of the 10-K will be available free of charge on the Securities and Exchange Commission's Web site at www.sec.gov and through the link to Longview's SEC filings on the company's Web site at www.longviewfibre.com.

The company will not conduct a conference call to discuss its financial results due to the on-going regulatory and shareholder approval process related to the proposed merger with Brookfield Asset Management (NYSE:BAM) announced on 05 February 2007.
