A fire in the recovered paper storage area of International Paper's (IP) newsprint mill in Kwidzyn, Poland has destroyed part of the site's recovered paper inventories. The local fire fighters reported that the fire broke out on 20 August. No persons were injured.

According to the reports, one third of the site's storage area was hit by the fire. IP said that an "insignificant" amount of recovered paper had been burnt in the blaze without specifying the exact volume.
