In this issue of Disconnected Comparisons, we evaluate Chesapeake Corporation (CSK) and The McGraw-Hill Companies, Inc. (MHP).

The attached graph indexes these companies’ stock values and the PM40 to their 04 January 2002 values. A USD 100 investment in CSK on that date would have been worth USD 14.54 on 08 February 2008; a USD 100 investment in MHP on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 134.19 on 08 February 2008; and a USD 100 investment in an equal weight of the PM40 on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 115.62 on 08 February 2008.
