Print
Boise, Idaho, USA, 02 November 2006 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Boise Building Materials Distribution (BBMD), a division of Boise Cascade, LLC, announced today that it is building a new distribution center in Milton, Florida, near Pensacola.

BBMD is a wholesale distributor of a large variety of building materials serving professional dealers and do-it-yourself retailers in the United States. With this new facility, BBMD will have 30 locations across the United States. Construction of an 80,000-square-foot warehouse has begun on the 27-acre site. The site is located near major truck transportation corridors, including Interstate 10, and will be rail served. Completion and start-up is scheduled for late in the first quarter 2007.

According to Stan Bell, senior vice president of BBMD, the new facility and BBMD associates will serve a strong market, driven by the rebuilding needed after hurricane Katrina and the significant development taking place in the Florida panhandle.
