Two WestRock employees test positive for COVID-19 in Covington, Va.


COVINGTON, Va. (From news reports) -- It is being reported that there are two positive coronavirus cases at WestRock in Covington.

Rebecca Johnson the Communications Manager of WestRock says that both cases are employees with the mill and they followed proper safety protocol by reporting their symptoms to their superiors.

Johnson mentioned that WestRock is following proper sanitation protocols to ensure other employees are safe.

"Our priority remains with keeping the health and well-being of our employees safe [from COVID-19]," Johnson added.

This comes one week after the mill announced plans to temporarily layoff nearly seventy employees at Covington's top employer.
