The Final Word by Jim Thompson Despite my gloomy opening column, we must never give up the fight to have a strong and vibrant pulp and paper industry, not only here in the United States, but worldwide. Pulp and paper provide so many benefits to society that we must prevail. A world without tissue and hygiene products is an unsanitary world. A world without packaging is delivered only expensive goods. These are foundational principles we can hold high without excuse.
