The Final Word by Jim Thompson

It seems like every January for the last few years, I comment on how the general economic situation is looking better. As the year goes on, I am proven wrong once again. Once again, this year, there are enough signs from several fronts to make a case either way. What we need to be able to have a certain future is for major governments everywhere to get their fiscal house in order and straighten out the currency mess, which is a multidimensional one. Until these events occur, we will see fits and starts at economic recovery, but, I fear, not much else.
