I was talking to the CEO of a major supplier company a couple of weeks ago. He was commenting on how grumpy and hostile everyone is recently. I blamed it on the economic conditions and noted I had seen it before when times are tough. He agreed, and recalled experiences he had had years ago in the steel and auto industries during tough times. So what to do? We have to get back to basics, run our businesses as best we can, and above all, stay professional in all our dealings. An angry person makes poor decisions, and the last thing we need at this time is poor decisions!
