Helsinki, Finland 01 June 2017 -- Our ongoing fluff pulp capacity expansion in Skutskär mill aims to strengthen our position as biggest European fluff pulp supplier. This significant investment is well on track and we aim to start the internal qualification next April.

The project is well on track and important milestones have already been reached." says Henrik Holm, Skutskär's mill Manager. "We already acquired all the main equipment and construction is ongoing."

"This 26,5MEUR investment will allow us to strengthen our position in the market, and develop our Care by Stora Enso product line with highly sustainable, certified and traceable products (FSC, PEFC and/or TCF)." says Stefan Klang, Sales Director for Fluff pulp. "With this capacity increase, we will be able to provide a higher amount of renewable and sustainable raw material to our customers in the hygiene industry, while keeping the same level of flexibility and high sustainability standards that our customers appreciate. In terms of market entry, we aim to grow in capacity together with the market, therefore avoiding disrupting the market by adding such a substantial amount (160 000 additional tonnes) in one go."
