Lenzing Achieves EcoVadis Platinum a Third Time

The Lenzing Group has again been awarded platinum status in the EcoVadis CSR rating. Covering the most important areas of corporate social responsibility--environment, fair working conditions, human rights, as well as ethics and sustainable procurement--it is the third time it has won the distinction from among 100,000 companies. This puts Lenzing among the top 1 percent of companies being reviewed.

Based in Paris, EcoVadis is the world's largest provider of corporate sustainability ratings. Founded in 2007, its criteria assesses companies' policies, actions and activities, in addition to their published reports related to the environment, labor and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.

One of the world's largest producers of cellulosic fibers, including such brands as Tencel, Refibra, Modal and Ecovero, Austria-based Lenzing has set ambitious goals for its path to a circular economy model from a linear one which it reports on regularly in its sustainability report. It has a commendable level of commitment to sustainability and transparency, which was highlighted by EcoVadis in its appraisal.

Lenzing Group CEO Stephan Sielaff reiterated the company's mission to help drive the textile industry in the right direction and was pleased the initiative was recognized yet again by EcoVadis.

"I am particularly pleased to receive the highest rating from the internationally renowned organization and am proud that we as the Lenzing Group have now been awarded platinum status for the third time," he said.
