Kadant Suit Dismissed

(NYSE:KAI) announced today that the United States District Court for the District of Massachusetts granted motions to dismiss all claims against it and the other defendants in a purported class action lawsuit relating to decking and railing products manufactured by Kadant Composites LLC between April 2002 and October 2003. The complaint, originally filed in December 2007, alleged that these products were defective, and claimed, among other things, causes of action for unfair and deceptive trade practices, fraud, negligence, breach of warranty, and unjust enrichment.
