Ilim West's Production Grows by 9%


St. Petersburg, Russia, 27 April 2011 -- Over the first quarter of 2011, Business Unit Ilim West (the Koryazhma Branch) has manufactured 268,000 tons of pulp and paper products. This is 9% more than in the first quarter of 2010. This includes 90,000 tons of market pulp, and is 19% above the performance of the similar period in 2010. Market containerboard production gained 4%, amounting to 127,000 tons.

Paper output has reached 51,000 tons. This is 8% above the first three months of 2010. A total of 16,000 tons of sack paper, 25,000 tons of offset paper, and 10,000 tons of paper for wallpaper manufacturing applications were produced. Pulp cooking has gained 9% as compared with the first quarter of the past year, totaling 280,000 tons.

The total production output of OAO Ilim Gofra (corrugated board and boxes) in the first three months of 2011 has reached 28,198,000 square meters, which is 54% more than in the same period of the past year.
