Georgia-Pacific Gets Okay to Purchase Grant Forest Products


Atlanta, Georgia, USA, 27 April 2010 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Grant Forest Products received approval late yesterday from the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, to enable Georgia-Pacific's acquisition of Grant's Allendale and Clarendon, South Carolina, facilities. 

This approval was the last in a series of governmental requirements in the United States and Canada that included approvals of the acquisition by the Canadian court overseeing the Grant Forest Products Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act filing, the Canadian Competition Bureau, the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Investment Canada. Englehart and Earlton, Ontario; and Allendale and Clarendon, South Carolina, in the near future.
