This approval was the last in a series of governmental requirements in the United States and Canada that included approvals of the acquisition by the Canadian court overseeing the Grant Forest Products Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act filing, the Canadian Competition Bureau, the United States Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and Investment Canada.
