Fire at Pratt Industries facility STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- A fire in a pit at Pratt Industries Paper Mills in Staten Island on Sunday night (April 26) prompted an "all hands" response from the FDNY, a spokesman for the department said. The FDNY responded to the fire at 7 p.m., the spokesman said, which was contained to the pit at the location. The fire was placed under control by responding firefighters at 8:17 p.m., according to the spokesman. No injuries were reported.
