In this issue of Disconnected Comparisons, we evaluate Bemis Company, Inc. (BMS) and Louisiana-Pacific Corporation (LPX).

The attached graph indexes these companies' stock values and the PM40 to their 04 January 2002 values. A USD 100 investment in BMS on that date would have been worth USD 105.58 on 21 December 2007; a USD 100 investment in LPX on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 156.11 on 21 December 2007; and a USD 100 investment in an equal weight of the PM40 on 04 January 2002 would have been worth USD 127.38 on 21 December 2007.
