Blackburn, Lancashire, England 31 July 2014 -- British tissue converter Accrol Papers has announced plans to build its own paper mill in Blackburn.

Accrol Papers has revealed a £66m deal with private equity firm NorthEdge Capital. Commercial Director Tim Bullough said: "This will accelerate our plans, one of which is a paper mill. We would endeavour to locate the paper mill as close as possible to our current converting facilities. Furthermore we have made a senior Board appointment and he will take up his position shortly and will head up the Mill project. At this stage we are considering a 5.5 m wide machine."

Accrol Papers employs 300 staff and has a turnover of more than £100m annually. The company with a manufacturing capacity in excess of 80.000 tpy manufactures household and away-from-home tissue products for a range of leading retailers and service providers.
