Helsinki, Finland, 25 September 2006 –- UPM Kaukas mill's effluent treatment plant operations are getting back to normal and production at the paper mill has started. Discolored water, noticed at the effluent treatment plant on 19 September 2006, was not released into Lake Saimaa. The mill's emission permission conditions have not been exceeded.
