Unisource Worldwide Acquires Euro-Papier


Norcross, Georgia, USA, 02 December 2009 -- Unisource Worldwide, Inc., one of the leading distributors of paper, packaging and facility supplies in North America, has announced that Graph Comm International, a subsidiary of Graphic Communications Holdings, Inc., has completed the acquisition of Euro-Papier.

"This acquisition significantly strengthens our market position throughout Europe," said Al Dragone, Unisource CEO. "We will continue to pursue strategic acquisitions that expand our operations both within and outside North America," he said.

Graphic Communications, Unisource's full-service print and paper brokerage, sells more than 1 million tons per year of coated and uncoated paper to a wide variety of regional, national and international companies. Euro-Papier, headquartered in Belgium, specializes in paper and print management. The name of the new company is Graph Comm Belgium.

"The existing Euro-Papier business, which includes a significant portfolio of retail and catalog paper customers, fits in well with our strategic business model," said Matt Dawley, president of Graphic Communications. "Euro-Papier team members, including the current leadership team, will now become part of Graph Comm Belgium. This will allow us to continue to use their market expertise and leverage this experience to develop multi-channel customer solutions in Europe and across the globe," said Dawley.
