Report: Dow-DuPont deal close to winning EU approval

BRUSSELS (From news sources) -- Dow Chemical and DuPont are on track to win European Union approval for their merger as soon as March - before an April 4 deadline - after tweaking concessions to allay antitrust concerns, it was reported this week.

Regulators do not see need for more feedback from rivals and customers, and they plan to consult the EU's lawyers and policymakers on final approval for the deal, according to the report.

The companies have offered to sell DuPont's pesticide assets to gain the EU's approval for the deal.
