Quebecor World Consolidates Quebec-based Magazine and Catalog Printing Facilities

Montréal, Quebec, Canada, 08 January 2007 -- Quebecor World Inc. (NYSE:IQW, TSX:IQW) announced today it is consolidating its Quebec-based magazine and catalog printing into fewer and more efficient facilities to improve productivity and customer service.

This decision involves the closure of the company's L'Eclaireur facility in Beauceville, Quebec. The closure is effective immediately and will result in the loss of approximately 155 jobs. Quebecor World continues to employ approximately 2000 people at seven facilities that print magazines, catalogs, retail inserts and directories in Quebec.

Customer volume from the L'Eclaireur will be transferred to other strategically located plants in Quebecor World's magazine platform. These efforts are being coordinated with our customers through their normal sales representation.
