Koppers Plant Production Interrupted By Pipeline Failure


Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA, 25 October 2006 -- /PRNewswire/ -- Koppers Holdings Inc. (NYSE:KOP) today reported an operational problem at its coke facility in Monessen, Pennsylvania.

Production at the plant was interrupted on 20 October 2006, due to a pipeline failure. Repairs have been completed and operations are in the process of restarting. The company expects production to be back to normal by 30 October. The effect on fourth quarter pre-tax earnings is expected to be approximately USD 600,000-800,000.
