Sao Paulo, Brazil, South America 28 November 2013 -- On November 15^th, Fibria announced signing of a contract with Parkia Participações S.A. for the sale of around 210,000 hectares of company land in the states of São Paulo, Mato Grosso do Sul, Bahia and Espírito Santo, for the total sum of R$ 1.65 billion. The company will also sign contracts for a rural and forest partnership of up to 24 years with Parkia, a subsidiary of a joint venture controlled by Brazilian investors. Under the agreement, the company will continue to operate the forests in those areas during the partnership. Activities relating to forest management, such as stewardship, licenses and certification, as well as relations with the local communities, will also remain Fibria's responsibility.
